The film was released.I reached Punjab from Bombay on Sunday and reached Narendra Palace Jalandhar at 10 am to see the response of the audience. The show of the film was Housefull & a balcony ticket of 30 rupees was selling for 50 rupees in black.
I offered forty to Blackie. He looked at me angrily and said, "Babu, save eight tickets, don't take it soon, Barang will come back." I stood up and in about five minutes he sold all the tickets and he looked at me with great pride and said the next show.
